Swamp Puppy Studios is a Florida-based woodworking business specializing in handcrafted wood products. We combine quality craftsmanship with a touch of Southern character to create pieces made to be used, enjoyed, and built to last.

Are your products handmade?

Yes! Our products are handcrafted by us, not mass-produced. Because we work with real wood, every piece will have its own unique grain patterns, knots, coloring, and natural characteristics. We think that's part of what makes woodworking so special.

Where are you located?

We're proudly based in Central Florida. While we may have a little swamp in our name, don't worry—you don't have to wrestle a gator to place an order.

Do you take custom orders?

Absolutely. We love bringing custom ideas to life. If you have a specific size, design, engraving, wood species, or completely original idea in mind, reach out to us, and we'll let you know what we can do.

How do I request a custom piece?

Send us a message with as much information as possible about what you're looking for. Photos, inspiration pictures, measurements, wording, and even rough sketches are welcome. We'll work with you to determine the design, pricing, and estimated turnaround time before getting started.

How long do custom orders take?

Turnaround time depends on the project's size and complexity, our current workload, and the materials required. We'll provide an estimated timeline when we discuss your project. Because our pieces are handmade, we don't rush craftsmanship just to get something out the door.

Can you recreate something I saw online?

We can absolutely use photos as inspiration, but we prefer to create something with our own Swamp Puppy spin rather than directly copying another maker's original work.

Will my item look exactly like the product photo?

Not exactly—and that's the beauty of real wood. Grain patterns, knots, coloring, and other natural characteristics vary from board to board. Your piece will follow the same overall design, but no two handmade wood products will ever be completely identical.

What types of wood do you use?

The wood species we use depends on the product and project. If you're ordering something custom and have a particular species or look in mind, let us know. We're happy to discuss available options and help determine what works best for your project.

Do you offer personalization or engraving?

Personalization is available on select products and custom orders. Depending on the piece, we may be able to add names, dates, logos, sayings, or other designs.

Can you engrave my business logo?

In many cases, yes. You'll need to provide a high-quality version of your logo, and you must have permission to use the artwork. We'll let you know if the file or design needs to be adjusted before engraving.

Do you make large custom pieces?

We do accept larger woodworking projects depending on the design, timeline, materials, and our current workload. Send us your idea and approximate dimensions, and we'll talk through the possibilities.

Do custom orders require a deposit?

Custom projects may require a deposit before materials are purchased or work begins. Any deposit requirements, payment schedule, and remaining balance will be discussed with you before your project is started.

Can I cancel a custom order?

Because custom pieces may require specially purchased materials and dedicated build time, cancellations may be limited once work has begun. Personalized items generally cannot be canceled after customization has started.

Do you accept returns?

Because of the handmade nature of our products, return eligibility may depend on the item. Personalized and custom-made products are generally considered final sale unless there is a defect or we made an error with your order.

What if my item arrives damaged?

Please contact us as soon as possible and include photos of the item, packaging, and shipping box. We'll review the situation and work with you on the appropriate next step.

Do you ship?

Yes! Shipping availability depends on the size and type of product. Some larger or heavier custom pieces may be available for local pickup only or will have to be shipped via freight. 

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes. Local pickup may be available for customers in Central Florida and surrounding areas. Pickup arrangements will be provided after your order is ready.

How should I care for my wood product?

Care instructions depend on the type of product and finish used. In general, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, extreme heat, harsh chemicals, and the dishwasher unless your specific product states otherwise.

We'll provide additional care instructions when necessary so you can keep your piece looking great for years to come.
